Escape from Manila

Hi friends! We've had an uneventful week with the canceling of class and some meetings we were supposed to have at school. It's a little frustrating since I felt ready to jump into school, but things are a little unorganized so trying to be understanding. We're leaving today for the island of Guimaras for a long weekend so it will be nice to get away from the congestion and craziness of the city. We'll be back on Sunday afternoon but then we leave bright and early Monday morning to Sorsogon  for a school related trip. We're taking a parasitology class and we're going to assist with a research project involving schistosomiasis...this will involve some snail collection and wading around in rubber boots so I'm sure I'll have a lot to say about that when we return. Back on Wednesday!
